Jack has added a new feature in Alpha Tracker Mobile so that water hygiene technicians can add all sentinel outlets to their job with just one tap - nice!

Our latest Alpha Tracker Mobile update hits the app stores this week.  It is focused on fixing issues which have occasionally affected water hygiene users when syncing their data.

Make sure you update to the latest version of Alpha Tracker Mobile

The key change is that all users will now automatically be using the latest sync method - which will improve the speed and reliability of the sync process, especially when there is a slow or unreliable Internet connection.

Did you know that Alpha Tracker now produces 1000s of water hygiene reports each week?  Legionella is now one of the fastest growing sectors for Alpha Tracker.

You can check your app version in the "About" screen - the latest one is v3.1.91

Faster report production with our Cloud Document Maker update

Jack and the team have deployed a new version of Cloud Document Maker which means that some Alpha Tracker clients - water hygiene users in particular - will notice that their documents are generated much more quickly.

There is also an update coming soon which will increase the speed of asbestos report generation - so watch out for that.

New Water feature within Alpha Tracker - an easier way to record when actions are completed and risks are closed

You and your clients can now record when water hygiene actions are completed and risks are closed within Alpha Tracker's water sub-system.

Look for the system at the site (1), then drill down from the system (2) to the asset/outlet (3) and the relevant risk (4):

You can record an unlimited number of completed actions (for monthly tasks, for example) and the system is clever enough to close the risk if a one-off task has been marked as complete.

Your clients can also do the same activity in the Water Client Portal given them control over the risks and actions assigned to them.

Jack has released another update to our Alpha Tracker Mobile app.

This version has a number of changes to improve the app for water hygiene technicians.  The most important is a new water sync process which is much faster and less prone to problems when there is poor data connection.

The biggest change will benefit Alpha Tracker water hygiene (Legionella) technicians.  We've improved the logic which powers our data integrity checks, and this should reduce the number of alerts that the technicians see, especially at the start of the day.

A larger update is on its way, featuring a new sync method that makes it faster and easier for site staff to send in their data and photos

Your clients can now record temperature and flushing records live in the Alpha Tracker Client Portal for Water Hygiene.

New Alpha Tracker Mobile hits the app stores. New "Support" option and "Water" buttons simplified

There's a new version of Alpha Tracker Mobile in the app stores.

The update adds a new "Support" menu (useful if you need to call us for help):

The other change is that the button previously labelled as "Water OFFLINE" is now just "Water".  This is the button to click if you are working on water jobs on-site.

Water hygiene and asbestos air monitoring go live at Norse Infinity

The new version has several useability improvements for users of our Forms and Water Hygiene features, including:

• better display of the section name (for forms broken into multiple sections)
• improved display of the project/job, site and type of form
• the section/question is always displayed when responding to Water Hygiene questions.

These changes all came from suggestions from our users so do get in touch if you have other ideas for improvements!

The latest update has these new features and improvements, many of which will appeal to our water hygiene consultancies:

1. You can now duplicate water assets and outlets (and the data associated with them) with just one click
   
   
2. You can mark outlets as being infrequently accessed
   
   
3. The last date an outlet was monitored/cleaned/serviced is now shown when working on site (so that you can avoid working on outlets which don't need to be actioned)
   
   
4. Attempting to log in with an invalid user ID or password, or an expired password, now displays a more helpful message
   
   
5. If your sync is interrupted for any reason, you will not see duplicate assets and outlets when you re-sync
   
   
6. Photos are now quicker to display
   
   
7. A variety of minor bugs have been addressed.

Jack has published the latest Alpha Tracker Mobile app (3.0.94)  to the Google and Apple app stores.

Key improvements include:

• several improvements to the Forms feature (used for fire risk assessments and other types of consultancy work)

• faster and more reliable Syncs
  
  
• a bug fix whereby the location of a water asset was not always shown
  
  
• a bug fix whereby the site postcode (for a water job) was not always shown

• better error reporting if a Sync fails for any reason.

AEC busy with the new Water Hygiene module in Alpha Tracker

We have been working with leading environmental consultancy AEC to build a new Water Hygiene module for Alpha Tracker.

A big thank you to AEC for sharing their expertise

AEC water hygiene staff have now captured more than 10,000 site records using the updated Alpha Tracker Mobile app (available for Android or Apple devices).  The app works online and offline helping staff to be productive on sites even where there is no mobile signal or WiFi.

We've been careful to make the Water Hygiene features as customisable as possible with every type of water job available including Legionella risk assessments, temperature monitoring, shower cleans and every other option you can think of!

The Water Hygiene module will be available in Alpha Tracker Release 39, available in beta now.

Alpha Tracker Legionella users - Public Health England issues post-lockdown guidance

If your environmental consultancy uses Alpha Tracker to produce Legionella reports, you might be interested in this post from PHE (Public Health England).

Premises are also required to undertake a detailed review of all aspects of their water management system before reopening amid the continuing coronavirus lockdown."
