Another Alpha Tracker asbestos software order from New Zealand

Judy & Leanne have received another Alpha Tracker asbestos system order this morning from a New Zealand asbestos consultancy.

It's another personal recommendation too - great news for our Adelaide team.

Listen to Cath Tate on BBC iPlayer

I blogged last week about our client Cath Tate and her new book - http://robinbennett.blogspot.co.uk/2018/03/our-client-cate-tate-to-appear-on-bbc.html.

Listen to Cath Tate on the BBC iPlayer
Cath's appearance on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour is now available on the iPlayer here https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09wpmym, starting approx. 13 minutes in.  Go Cath!

Our client Cath Tate to appear on BBC Radio 4's Women's Hour

To quote Cath Tate's website... "Witty, gritty, right on, switched on, political, ethical, sceptical, poetical and just plain funny."  and I couldn't agree more! We've been the software developers at Cath Tate for longer than I care to remember and this is a perfect summary of them and their greeting card design, wholesale and retail business.

Cath herself has been working on The Inking Woman, a project which began as an exhibition at the Cartoon Museum in London and now has resulted in a new book by Cath and Nicola Streeten.

Catch Cath and Nicola talking about the project on BBC Radio 4's Women's Hour on Wednesday 28 March at 10:00.  We'll be listening!

Another personal recommendation, another Alpha Tracker order

We've had notification this morning that another Australian environmental & asbestos consultancy has placed an order with our Adelaide office for Alpha Tracker.

The Alpha Tracker Adelaide office
This was another personal recommendation - a UK company in this case has recommended our software over the competition and so we've received the order today.

It's our mission to make our customers our sales force - looks like we're making progress!

Good feedback from the latest Alpha Tracker users

We've been reading the training feedback from the Alpha Tracker asbestos software training sessions run by Kim (in the UK) and Judy (in Australia & New Zealand).

Some of the comments received include:

"Your videos are great" (some of the best ones for Tracker Mobile, the on-site asbestos data collection app are here)

"Judy is fantastic and a credit to your organisation" (wow!)

"Kim was great!" (ditto!)

Some of the areas where we can improve are (a) adding more in-depth videos to the library and (b) providing routine follow-up training in addition to the initial sessions.  We're working on those.

Alpha Tracker - no charges for unlimited client portal users!

Unlike our competitors, we do not charge for client portal users.  As an Alpha Tracker software user, you are free to have as many clients (and their contractors) logging in to your portal as you wish.  Charge them for access if you want (and keep the income) - but we won't charge you!

the Alpha Tracker client portal in action

Why do we take this stand when our competitors charge a fee for client portal users?  We think it is a matter of principle - it is your asbestos data and they are your reports and you should be able to give access to your clients however and whenever you wish.  Simple as that.

Fed up with paying additional licence fees to other asbestos software companies when you could be paying nothing at all?  Get in touch to discuss our preferential pricing schemes for asbestos consultancies wanting to swap from other software systems.

Acquisition of NGNine Ltd complete: Asbestos software Amianto joins Alpha Tracker

We're really pleased to announce that we have completed the purchase of software house NGNine Ltd together with their Amianto asbestos software system.

The acquisition of NGNine has taken many months to organise and during that time we have got to know NGNine director Gary Joynes and lead developer Steve very well. We will continue to work with them both to provide a seamless transition for the benefit of the Amianto users.

Amianto (see http://www.amiantohq.com/) is a complete and well-respected web and mobile asbestos management system with many features in common with our asbestos software Alpha Tracker.  We will be continuing to develop both systems in parallel, sharing the best technologies and features between them.

Amianto is particularly focused at larger property portfolios and we will be offering demonstrations of Amianto to Alpha Tracker clients in order to explore possibilities for councils, housing associations and other holders of large property portfolios.

Former NGNine director Gary said "We are really pleased that Amianto users will be able to access the enhanced 24x7 support service offered by Start Software and we are confident that the sharing of technology between the two systems will benefit all clients".

For more information or to book a demonstration of either system, please contact Robin Bennett at Start Software's Telford office.

MDS update for Apple (iOS) users of our asbestos site data collection app, Tracker Mobile

You might remember that we blogged about problems being caused by the latest Apple iOS operating system, iOS 11 (see http://robinbennett.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/warning-android-8-and-apple-ios-11.html).

Asbestos surveyors using our Tracker Mobile app (part of the Alpha Tracker asbestos software system) were having a number of annoying issues if their phones auto-updated to the latest operating system.

We're pleased to say that all of these issues have been ironed out now and if you have been having issues you can allow your iPhone or iPad to update to the latest release of iOS and the data capture platform, MDS (see https://www.creativitycorp.com/upgrades.asp) and all will be well again.

Do contact support if you need any help with the update.
