Good riddance 2020... but Happy Christmas anyway!

Here's hoping that 2021 is a better year for all of us.  Don't think it could be any worse than 2020.  My heart goes out to the companies who are struggling to keep afloat in the quagmire of coronavirus restrictions and all of the people who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own.

At Start Software, we've managed to mix working from home and working from the office and the business has grown again thanks to the support of our wonderful customers. The "new normal" does feel completely different, though... this time last year we were in New York for a team Christmas trip and this year we can't even go to the pub down the road!!


Christmas Opening

We're open 24x7 for our customers with support contracts all over Christmas and New Year.  Our development office, however, is closed on the following days:

  • Friday 25 December
  • Saturday 26 December 
  • Sunday 27 December
  • Monday 28 December
  • New Year's Day
If you're working over Christmas, our support team are here for you.  Hope you manage to have a break and here's to a happy, successful and healthy 2021!

    There are a few interesting points in time in this posting but I do not determine if I see these people center to heart. There may be some validity but Let me take hold opinion until I take a look at it further.

Alpha Validator update released

The automated survey data checking feature within asbestos software Alpha Tracker (known as "AlphaValidator") has been updated again.  This follows on from the update released on 11 December (more info here ). an example of AlphaValidator's data check output This update - v1.0.74 SVN25 - is ready now to download from our website and improves the way photos of asbestos samples are validated . We've listened to you - no more form timers!

Alpha Legal users and their clients have never liked the timers that encouraged forms to be completed in a set amount of time.  We extended them from 60 minutes to 2 hours in the last update, but that still was inconvenient for many users.  We've listened to you and scrapped the timers completely!    This change will make the whole process of uploading ID documents easier and less stressful for your clients (and, don't worry, just as secure as before). Dan and the Alpha Legal team are listening! If you have any more ideas to improve Alpha Legal, get in touch .  We love to hear from you.
