Asbestos disease campaigner & fundraiser Mavis Nye has finally lost her battle with Mesothelioma. Such sad news

It's with a heavy heart that we share the news that legendary asbestos disease campaigner and fundraiser Mavis Nye has finally lost her battle with Mesothelioma.  

Mavis contracted Mesothelioma in 2009 and, together with her husband Ray, they have raised £1000s for asbestos disease research since her diagnosis as well as supporting fellow sufferers of the disease and being a figurehead for the asbestos industry as a whole.

Our Alpha Tracker director Robin is a Trustee of the Mavis Nye Foundation and was devastated to hear of Mavis's passing.  Robin will be taking an oil portrait of Mavis & Nye to the European Asbestos Forum in Brussels to help the attendees from 27 different countries celebrate Mavis and her incredible achievements.
