Improved Master Project importer being tested. Better feedback means higher quality data in your system

Our new Master Project importer is nearly ready and is being tested by two of our beta-testing asbestos consultancy clients.

Look out for the new "Verify" step at position 3 (of 4)

The change introduces a new "Verify" step to check the sites from your Excel spreadsheet and give you feedback before you commit them to the system.

It will highlight where the UPRNs are missing or are the placeholder "TBC" (or similar) and it will also show you where sites already exist in the system.  In addition, it highlights jobs already recorded against the sites you are importing, to help prevent you from importing duplicates accidentally.

Early feedback has been really positive and this updated screen should save your admin teams a great deal of time when checking and fixing mistakes on imports.

Alpha Validator update released

The automated survey data checking feature within asbestos software Alpha Tracker (known as "AlphaValidator") has been updated again.  This follows on from the update released on 11 December (more info here ). an example of AlphaValidator's data check output This update - v1.0.74 SVN25 - is ready now to download from our website and improves the way photos of asbestos samples are validated . We've listened to you - no more form timers!

Alpha Legal users and their clients have never liked the timers that encouraged forms to be completed in a set amount of time.  We extended them from 60 minutes to 2 hours in the last update, but that still was inconvenient for many users.  We've listened to you and scrapped the timers completely!    This change will make the whole process of uploading ID documents easier and less stressful for your clients (and, don't worry, just as secure as before). Dan and the Alpha Legal team are listening! If you have any more ideas to improve Alpha Legal, get in touch .  We love to hear from you.
