Hampshire County Council go live with Alpha Tracker

Our Alpha Tracker trainer Kim really enjoyed meeting the asbestos specialists at Hampshire County Council this week.  The staff even looked cheerful at the end of the training!

Alpha Tracker - did you know...? #10 - Super-flexible Re-inspections

Did you know that Alpha Tracker has the most flexible asbestos re-inspection options on the market?

Asbestos consultancies provide re-inspection services as a mainstay of their businesses, and Alpha Tracker has options galore:

• you can re-inspect from a single asbestos survey (useful if your consultancy carried out the original survey)
  
• you send collect all known data for a site and send it back to one or more handsets for re-inspecting... great if multiple surveys and re-inspections have been undertaken at a site
  
• data imported from spreadsheet (perhaps from another consultancy or from information held by the client) can be used as the source of a re-inspection
  
• during the re-inspection, your qualified asbestos surveyors can collect new samples (if they have been able to access a previously inaccessible area, for example)
  
• you can schedule re-inspections and mark data to be delivered to a handset on a specific day... very handy if you are planning work days or weeks in advance.

Another busy Alpha Tracker week

We've had another couple of Alpha Tracker orders from asbestos consultancies in Scotland - all from personal recommendation, which is lovely.  We do enjoy working north of the border and Kim is looking to spending some time near Loch Ness to do the next batch of training.

Kim has also been training clients this week to use their customised air monitoring/4-stage clearance apps.  With data capture including site plans and unlimited photos, our new apps and Alpha Tracker process is proving to be popular although sometimes time-consuming to implement.

We've also been testing new versions of our app/web server software this week to see if we see better performance on larger installations (our latest has a client with 6,000 sites and wants to access them all - in one go - via the client portal).

Alpha Tracker - did you know...? #9 - Google Calendar Sync

Did you know that Alpha Tracker's diary can auto-sync with Google Calendars?

Why is this so useful?  This means that Google Calendars set up for your staff can be auto-synced from your office Alpha Tracker diary.  No more emailing work schedules, no more whiteboards... all staff can see what they are supposed to be doing on their own mobile phones.  They don't even ever have to "sync" as their phone will always show their latest Google Calendar.

Also... Google Calendars are free! And staff can have their work diary as an extra one so that it doesn't interfere with their personal calendar or ones they have set up for other reasons.

One of the five asbestos consultancies that went live with Alpha Tracker in January sent us an email this week - "Alpha Tracker is bl**dy brilliant!".  The director of the consultancy (who has used many other asbestos systems) said that he'd wished he'd bought the system years ago as it was saving them so much time.

What a lovely way to end the week.

Did you know you can transfer data to and from other Alpha Tracker systems?

A whole range of options are available, enabling you to exchange data with other asbestos surveyors as well as organisations holding asbestos data in their own Alpha Tracker databases.

A small charge is made to enable some of these options (where the data exchange happens via a secure third-party server, for example) so do get in touch to find out more.

Alpha Tracker Release 27 is available now

Our winter 2017/18 update of asbestos software Alpha Tracker, Release 27, is now available.

There are nearly 200 software updates in this release - new features, bug fixes and performance improvements.  Watch this video for a quick overview of the changes.

Users of our Legionella, contaminated soil and air testing modules will all see improvements.  In addition, this update also prepares the ground for our new Alpha Tracker Mobile app with some very exciting additions!

Kim's Alpha Tracker release notes will be available on our website as usual.
