Start Software welcomes international project manager Russ West

We're thrilled to announce that international project manager Russ West is now working with Start Software on a number of Alpha app development projects.

Russ has a huge amount of experience working in software and Internet businesses worldwide and is now helping Start to develop and deliver a number of apps.

Apps in development by Start Software include client portals, messaging apps, data collection systems for environmental & asbestos consultancies, and handheld software for sales professionals.  Start's apps work on the Android, iOS and Windows Phone platforms.

Alpha Validator update released

The automated survey data checking feature within asbestos software Alpha Tracker (known as "AlphaValidator") has been updated again.  This follows on from the update released on 11 December (more info here ). an example of AlphaValidator's data check output This update - v1.0.74 SVN25 - is ready now to download from our website and improves the way photos of asbestos samples are validated . Please do contact the Start Software Support Desk  (available 24x7!) if you would like help installing the update.

We are open for business as usual throughout the Christmas and New Year period. Thursday 24 December: Office closes at 4pm Friday 25 December: Closed Monday 28 December: Closed Tuesday 29 December: Open with reduced staffing levels Wednesday 30 December: Open with reduced staffing levels Thursday 31 December: Open with reduced staffing levels Friday 1 January: Closed As usual, we are not sending Christmas cards to clients but instead we are donating to our favourite charity, the RNLI . We wish all of our customers a Happy Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year.
